Chronicles of the Desperate Measures Prologue Mission: Florn Captain Candy’s Starlog Entry 1: After assembling his team, Jedi general Vidar commands me, Traveler Candice Thorn, to fly to a planet called Florn. Upon coming out of hyperspace we are unable to identify a ship jumping into hyperspace leaving the forest world; including our resident Miraluka, Jaris Marr, with his super sight. I’ve deemed him the blind man that can see. Nor can the General sense who or what was on the ship. Conjecture is it belonged to the separatists. I expertly land my brand new Wayfairer class freighter on the planet near a factory connected to a “Sith” Temple where Jaris, Vidar, Hell-Shepard and his four-man team of troopers and I, bringing Snydeley, the ID9 Seeker droid, into the jungle. We tromp through the terrain, defeating a large poison acid spitting lizard and it’s flying reptile “friends” to the temple. After Snydeley maps out the main corridor, we all enter. But all is not what it seems. As Jaris passes a Sith hologram, we’re attacked. Our heroes defeat the hologram guardian by blowing up its holoprojector and travel out the temple to the facilities they are looking for. Upon reaching the lower level on the elevator lift they are meet with a droid. I want to shoot it the moment it blinks its voice trap. While condescending, the droid takes us through a factory of other droids to meet “the master”. An HK droid greets us and offers a choice… death or cake. Early in January 2020, I agreed to join my guy in a role playing game centered around Star Wars. I hadn't joined a game since high school and the experience was actually something to be desired with immature teenage boys running those D&D sessions. So I participated with a GM and 4 other guys including my honey. With my guy as backup, I rolled my stats and created Candy Thorn, a Duros, which is an alien that models the grey aliens you might typically see with the large eyes and bulbous head. She became the beloved "Mother" of the crew to which our rag tag group survived. So the end is a happy one and you can rest assured that our GM attempted, but did not succeed in killing us. I'm going to put up snippets of our games and the drama that happened underway during our game. Along our journey, I commissioned Ana to do some artwork. She was so good, that I continued to commission her for scenes of the story. Those will come with each entry. There will be misspellings, grammar mistakes and missed punctuation. I did not have this professionally edited. But it's free entertainment so there's that. Enjoy!! Comments are closed.
