That's what I describe this series as... from darkness to light. 

I am humbled by the reviews left by readers and wanted to touch on Praise for A Blind Curve as readers share their transformative experiences.

I really enjoyed the feedback, comments, constructive criticism, and the praise, insight and enjoyment of everyone. 

There is one thing I want to discuss. The power of words. I AGONIZE for every word. When I back space, in my head, I am killing a word. Sometimes, when I make a mistake, I will not back space, but cursor over to the place I want to edit--if I can. I'm not afraid of killing words, I just have a certain reverence for them. 

I will give a little prayer for each one destroyed and written over. 

You might find it extreme. You might find it silly. It's just a word or a letter or a punctuation. They don't have feelings. I'm about to digress and tell you to watch this research on words spoken to water. If you already heard of it, check out this video:

Why watch these videos? 

I want to make sure you understand where I'm coming from when I say that I absolutely AGONIZE over every word. 

Just want you to know that. I want you to know and read this feedback I got from a very gracious reader:

"There were a few things that made me feel uneasy – lines like “Jake was a blond, blue-eyed Aryan masterpiece.” I’m sure there were other ways to describe the character that would have conveyed his appearance without using such a charged term." 

First, applause for having the power to say that. Speak your mind. I'm all for it. Dan is all for it. Thank you. 
 
Words have power. I'm very aware of that and I am glad this was said to me. I have no misplaced anger about this and it might seem weird, but I actually was trying to get you, the reader, to be a little uncomfortable. Because, what we need right now is to stop before the emotional reaction takes over. We all have the power to think about what others might be going through and have a the compassion to understand them.

Dan is not a sympathetic character. It can be hard to relate to him. But if you can't, there might be something you, dear reader, need to work on. 

I appreciate Dan for who he is. He is a loud-mouth, speaks his mind, and not a little bit (but a lot) prejudice. 

Franz Kafka said, "A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us". He meant that books should provide thought and evoke emotion. 

I try to stay true to Kafka in my own way. 

Take in mind that I wrote this book during the first year of being a widow. The book is rough. It has flaws--just like life. 

I am grateful to every single word that readers have given to me. I have no more words to give today because of it.
