After 3 Months of ReflectionI pushed on, in light of heavier topics, to finish A Blind Curve the sequel to Silent Road. I’m super excited to share that this will be my first serialized novel featuring the same characters, Jake and Dan, from the first book! I’ve done other serials with different characters (Notice Me Senpai series) in the same world, but this is a whole new adventure for me. You might find Dan less harsh in this second and last of the series and I look forward to what others think. At its heart, A Blind Curve is a celebration of love in all its forms. The novel explores themes of acceptance─both self and other. In a world where love often feels conditional or fraught with obstacles, this tale encourages readers to accept themselves while showing compassion towards others. Through exploring fears, hopes, and dreams together with characters like our heroine she demonstrates that love can both be journeyed upon and arrived at. I've felt for a while that movies in particular are saying that people are fine on their own and that's all anyone should want. But I believe this world is better off with someone. As Christopher McCandless said from Into the Wild, "Happiness is only real when shared". A Blind Curve has that thought in mind. Each person is responsible for their own happiness, but those gems mean so much more when their light shines upon others. While that might seem like a while to go, I've still got things to do before the books release. One of them includes a cover! I'll be sure to give you a sneak peek after I talk to my cover designer. For right now, all I have is the Book Description: Relationships shouldn’t have a deadline, but Jake and Dan have agreed to try out what they have together for 3 months. If things don’t go well, Jake is ready to move on. But Dan has changed too much to let this relationship go without a fight. Jake’s been broken by straight men before. Now that he’s dating Dan Perry, the “unattainable” man of his dreams, his fear of abandonment creeps into insecurities that make him push Dan away. Jake fights his self-doubt quietly, yet Dan suspects something is wrong. Dan, grappling with his newfound sexuality, must conquer his fear and prejudice before he loses the first man he’s ever loved. The truth will come out one way or another, and if Dan doesn’t fully commit to their relationship, Jake would rather cut their time short than dangle along until the love of his life decides to leave him in the end. Until next time... ...happy reading! ~ Stephy
