Meet the Main Characters
Meet the CastBecause his grades are so bad, a human has to hide his identity to go to an all monster school, but it's the only academy that will accept him. First five episodes or so the story was all about one guy attracting the four/five girls. Shenanigans happen over Tskune and things get interesting from there. The usual class rep intimidation, monsters trying to take over the school, the tug of war between the girls for one guy. It's cute, adorable and the writer's had a lot of fun with this! Oh and lots of gratuitous panty shots from the ground up. Our MC's are Tsukune and Moka. I swear I will never be able to forget their names because each episode has a love moment between Tsukune and Moka that proceeds as such: (Tsukune, Moka-san, Tsukune, Moka-san, Tsukune, Moka-san, Tsukune, Moka-san, Tsukune... on and on until something breaks them apart or before they kiss. KISS ALREADY!!!Technichally there are two Moka's. Sweet adorable unable to hurt a fly Moka and...big badass vampire Moka... Which one does Tsukune like? Okay then. Now that THAT is cleared up... Tsukune only has eyes for Moka but every good guy has a few admirer's right? Here's the roll call: So if you count inner Mocha and outer Mocha, that's six girls. Kurumu the clingy succubus whose kiss will render a man her slave forever. Mizore the stalker snow queen who accuses other stalkers of being stalkers (but she's different). She also delivers my favorite line in the series. Yukari the adorable, super smart witch whose superiority complex gets toned down a few notches. AND... Ruby the sexy, loyal witch that Tsukume saves from a spell she put herself under. As I said, the writers had a bunch of laughs, poking fun at tropes and interesting characters that went from shallow to deep over the season. I cackled so much at the fun! Especially with the bat...Squeeeeeeeee.... So Tsukune's identity as a human did come up but was resolved within two episodes. I loved the different kinds of monsters, the monster fan-club for the girls but most the time the so-so plot only had a few episodes of real seriousness. Of course, we're left hanging with wanting to know what happens and we'll have to read the manga to see how Tsukune gets along with Moka biting him for his blood all the time. But, I'm still giving this a 4 star because I loved the different unique monsters, the hilarity and the couple episodes that had a real story behind it. Now for some awesome artwork!"I'll try stalking them into utter submission again..." ~ Mizore There was a special bond between the witch Yukari and the succubus Kurumu. It was adorable to watch. I do feel a little for Kurumu, any man she kisses will become her slave--not the best way to find love. Youaki academy, where the teachers are terrifying. They either want to eat you, claw you, feed you to death or teach you math until your brains leak out of your ears--literally. Moka VS. Moka
