Princess Jellyfish impression: Sim dating of cute eclectic characters! Plot Summary: Amamizukan is an apartment complex where no boys are allowed. Tsukimi, a girl who adores jellyfish, lives there happily with her friends who all have nerdy obsessions of their own. Their peaceful lives gradually start to change when a beautiful woman helps Tsukimi out of a pinch. She stays overnight at the apartments—but it turns out "she" is really a "he". This is the first anime that makes me want to read the manga and find out what happens. The adorable characters drew me into this story and the intrigue of a cross dressing boy really had me hooked. The secondary plot comes along sometime in the middle of the first season where the residents of an old communal living dorm must save their home by any means possible. They try to protest the builders tearing their place down. They beg the owner not to sell. They make a last ditch effort to make as much money as possible. Even the cross dressing son asks his parents for money. You'll have to watch to find out what happens. No Spoilers beyond what I've already said. We've got 2 plots going on here. First we've got a rebellious cross-dressing son of a political family meets shy girl Tsukimi. The other plot comes along sometime in the middle of the first season where the residents of an old communal living dorm must save their home by any means possible. They try to protest the builders tearing their place down. They beg the owner not to sell. They make a last ditch effort to make as much money as possible. Even the cross dressing son asks his parents for money. You'll have to watch to find out what happens. No Spoilers beyond what I've already said. The case is our MC is a shy girl and she lives with a group of other girls that have sworn themselves to the indoors and staying away from boys. This is a story of boy meets girl and havoc ensues including turning Amars into posh ladies. Of course, it was the BOY who made them up into the shining lovely ladies using his epic talent in makeup and fashion. This is a straight up 5 stars for me. The interaction between Tsukimi and Kuranosuke is awesome and of course it wouldn't be much of a dating sim if you didn't have the main characters falling in love with each other. However, you only see hints of it along with a triangle between the two brothers liking the same girl. One of my favorite scenes in the anime is when Kuranosuke's brother Shu fights his blackmailing partner. The most important lesson of this anime:
Every girl is born a princess. Some just forget. Comments are closed.
