Thanks for taking a look at my little hodgepodge of a blog. Take a ganger at the bottom of the page to see the Categories. That will help to make sense of my short journal entries. The format and subjects of my blog has changed through the years as it's my log of S.N.McKibben's writing journey. You've now been sufficiently forewarned, happy reading!
A disparaging widower tries to conquer his urges with a companion who won't contend with his dead wife. Enter Lady Alene, a professional who knows what a man needs and bares all for the recovery of a client.
Lady Alene and the Widower is story #1 in the Shorts-off series! I'm super excited! This story has been begging me to go out in the world to chase guys! Those beautiful creatures I love, men, need love, respect and admiration.
Sometimes people forget that we may lose those we love, but it doesn't mean we've followed them into the grave. Live after grieving and don't make excuses to feel guilty over having needs and desires. This applies to both men and women.
What is moral? Buying someone who knows what the ulterior motive is or using an unsuspecting partner who may or may not understand? Being up-front with any one on the street you just met is a cop-out and disaster waiting for ridicule. Hi, I lost my wife and I'd like to move on, want to share a bed with me? Might not get the best reaction or the best quality person to have a fling with. Face it, guys can have un-emotional sex. Some girls can do it too. It's okay.
I'm dubious of a girl that can say, sure I'll climb into bed with you--after the widower is totally honest about his grievance. I don't kid myself about human nature. I don't place exorbitant expectations on men or women. Sex is great! It's also a bonding of two people. But sometimes, you just need to get laid.
